“ I don't why this place only has a 3.5 star rating, I think it deserves a much higher overall rating. The ambiance here is amazing, I'm a huge fan of their pink theme although it is not my favorite color, they also have really cool glasses here that come in multiple colors with nice designs on them. The tables and chairs are made to look all rustic and badass. When it came to the service here, it was absolutely amazing, everyone was super kind and friendly, and I was helped with everything I needed. Our server Danielle was especially helpful when it came to allergies, and offering us a window seat. The food tasted great 4.5/5 stars, I really can't complain about much here. Over a I had a great experience and will definitely be coming back whenever in the area. Also the downstairs men's bathroom is quite the site that's all I will say (sorry ladies) ”

“ Wonderful atmosphere and solid food. The coffee was apffels and hit the spot. I thoroughly enjoyed my veggie and cheese omelette. It was chock full of zucchini, broccoli, mushrooms amongst other things. The biscuit with the trio of jellies was very yummy. My hubby got the Belgium waffle. It was well made, nothing unique but nice. The bathroom is crazy and it was such a fun vibes type of brunch. ”

“ Dined here 2 times on this trip as we stayed one night. First meal was so good. We have the Monte Cristo and Cream of Spinach soup to share. Both I would get again. Server was great. It was the young man at counter service on 2/20 at 2:30 pm. He was amazing. Second meal was not as good. Got the fish and chips special. It is bland and oil soaked. Also got clam chowder. Also kind of bland. We will go back but definitely not ordering the second meal again. ”

“ We used to eat here often.... Now I just feel that the quality of the food has really become really bland . It seems to have no flavor and generally just declining. I usually get the Monte Cristo and it's become a total hit and miss every time I order it . The Turkey dinner was good but the hot roast beef had much fat on it , it stayed uneaten. The kids burger is as big as their head and total waste and never gets eaten fully. I feel like they need to downsize the menu and just serve food quality dishes because it's really a beautiful restaurant. The service is amazing and attentive . I can't say I like the fact that there are a load of Tesla car charging stations and two other car ports to charge other electric vehicles , they may need to allow additional non Tesla charging stations. Regardless , when the meal sucks means nothing until you have a giant slice of cake to make up for the loses. The cakes are what makes this place great . Prices are up there but the desserts are Devine and the ambiance is just beautiful ranch style with old world charm. ”

“ Desserts!!!! This restaurant has the best bakery! Get the champagne cake and chocolate crème pie. Make a reservation and look around the entire property. This is the quirkiest place to stay and eat in SLO. Enjoy! Happy Yelping! ”

“ I came here with my partner while we were charging the tesla and I'm so glad we did! I've heard about the Madonna inn before so I'm so glad I got to explore the place a bit. My partner and I sat down at the adorable pink bar and I ordered the pink cloud. I was blown away at how much I enjoyed my cocktail. It tasted like a milkshake but had alcohol in it... and it was pink! What more could I ask for. The service was pretty fast and friendly. My partner and I walked around the restaurant, the gift shop and outside. Every part of the Madonna inn was decked out with the cutest decor. I can't wait to come back and stay here one day! ”

“ We had breakfast here while staying at the Madonna Inn overnight, and it was wonderful. We sat at the breakfast bar, but the atmosphere in the whole place was amazing just like the rest of the place. The food and service were excellent and better than to be expected in such a busy popular spot. Their bakery is out of this world. ”

“ We came here for the cakes! Originally told 15-20 minutes to be seated and ended up being 35 minutes. Service also was nonexistent after the cakes were delivered. No check in or water refills. It's definitely a busy place, especially on a Sunday afternoon. Aside from service, the cakes were great! We had the pink champagne cake (what they are known for) and the black forest cake. The portion sizes were huge and the two slices were easily shared amongst the six of us. The cakes alone are a sight to behold! Plus, I liked that the cakes were not overly sweet, light (despite its size), and decadent with every bite. Was worth the wait, and during that time, we just walked around the Madonna Inn, checked out the men's bathroom, and the shops. ”
